Is the Next Nintendo Switch’s Reveal Finally Coming Soon? [VIDEO]

Nintendo is getting a little annoyed with the unveiling of its next-generation console, because it really should be happening.

The unveiling of the Nintendo Switch 2 (not an official name, of course, since the big N hasn’t unveiled the platform yet) hasn’t happened yet. But the Switch has been on the market for seven and a half years, so it’s time for a platform change, as the technology makes multiplatform titles difficult enough unless they make big enough compromises to make them work on the weakest platform.

PH Brazil, a well-known Nintendo leaker, said that next week Nintendo will finally reveal the platform that will come after Switch. We can expect it either on Monday or Tuesday. So it could happen on October 28th or October 29th. Where it gets interesting is that a more reliable leaker, Pyoro, has also renamed himself on Twitter to the eye emoji, and the header image shows the Nintendo Alarmo, the recently unveiled (and in the news) alarm clock. This could also be a veiled reference to the company’s plans.

Nintendo’s new hardware is rumored to be released in the spring of 2025, as we have heard that the device will not be released in the first quarter of 2025 (sometime between January and March), but in April at the earliest, at the beginning of the next fiscal year. Of course, the Japanese company has not yet confirmed this, and will not do so until the next big N platform is officially revealed, which, like the Switch, could be a hybrid platform, meaning that it will not only be docked, but also portable and handheld.

Hopefully Nintendo will end the wait soon, because fans of the company deserve to hear more about the next platform for the big N. After all, the Switch isn’t far from the record sales of the PS2…
