Kate Beckinsale Fans Show Concern After She Reveals Painful Injuries from ‘Canary Black’

MOVIE NEWS – Canary Black debuted on Prime Video on Friday and quickly shot to the top of the streamer’s rankings. However, actress Kate Beckinsale has left fans worried after sharing images of her injuries sustained during the action movie’s filming. The thriller taps into the ever-popular action genre, appealing to audiences whether they’re looking for new releases or nostalgic picks. But as with many streaming hits, its popularity doesn’t quite align with critical reception.

Known for her role in the Underworld series, Beckinsale once again proves she can handle the intensity of an action lead, though Canary Black viewers seem less captivated this time. While Amazon may appreciate the viewing numbers, the film’s longevity in viewers’ memories remains in question. Beckinsale’s commitment, however, is undeniable. She shared photos of her bruised arms, injured finger, and scrapes, dispelling any notion that she didn’t perform her own stunts.

One follower commented: “Bless you, I hope you’re okay. You are obviously working hard but please stay safe.” This sentiment was echoed multiple times as fans expressed their hopes for her quick recovery.

Is Canary Black Worth the Watch?

Rotten Tomatoes critics and audiences doubt that Canary Black would have made much impact in theaters, but its promotion on Prime Video has attracted many viewers in its debut days. Reviews suggest the movie falls into the trap of many action thrillers, focusing on guns, explosions, and overly dramatic action sequences. Limited critic reviews—each marked “rotten”—have criticized the underdeveloped characters and predictable plot, questioning whether the action scenes alone can carry the film.

A review from The Wrap remarked, “Canary Black is recognizable as an action movie but it’s neither thrilling nor dramatic enough to qualify as entertainment.” Blu-ray.com critic Brian Orndorf also suggested that “the potential for future franchise plans feels unnecessary, especially when the first installment doesn’t quite hit the mark.”

Despite these reviews, Beckinsale fans and action movie enthusiasts will likely still tune in, though for many, the film may fade from memory once the credits roll.
