Nvidia Surpasses Apple: Is Jensen Huang’s Company on an Unstoppable Path?

TECH NEWS – Nvidia will certainly continue to push the industry forward with its Blackwell architecture, and it’s really questionable when their years-long march will at least slow down…

Nvidia has overtaken Apple to become the world’s most valuable company with a market value of $3.53 trillion. Last week, Nvidia fell back a bit to $3.47 trillion and Apple closed the day at $3.52 trillion. But what is the reason for Nvidia’s march to such unfathomable heights?

The answer is artificial intelligence. Nvidia has become the leading supplier of the components needed to develop AI. Think AI GPUs or servers. These have been in the news before. “More and more companies are now using artificial intelligence in their everyday tasks, and demand for Nvidia chips remains strong. The company is certainly in a sweet spot and as long as we avoid a major economic downturn in the US, there is a sense that companies will continue to invest heavily in AI capabilities, providing a healthy tailwind for Nvidia,” Russ Mould, investment director at AJ Bell, told Reuters.

Of course, Nvidia will use the Blackwell architecture for more than just AI. There will also be GPUs for desktop PCs and laptops, i.e. they will soon introduce the GeForce RTX 5000 series (we wrote recently that there will be RTX 5050 in laptops at least, and this time there will be such a chip in the form of a desktop graphics card as well…). In addition, Nvidia will be the supplier of Nintendo’s yet-to-be-announced Switch successor, and the Tegra T239 chip will be used in the Japanese company’s platform.

So Nvidia is on a roll, and there’s no end in sight. Maybe it’ll be at least a couple of years, but don’t count on it…
