Can You Finally Get Your Hands on a Physical Copy of STALKER 2?

Good news for fans of STALKER 2 and the physical format, especially those who have not bought it. There will be a new batch of shipments. The GSC Game World studio has announced a second round of sales of editions, both standard and special or collectors.

November has arrived, and that means STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl is just weeks away. After years of development and significant setbacks caused by the Russian invasion of Ukraine, GSC Game World’s RPG shooter is set to launch in two weeks. As anticipation builds, fans have been asking about the physical editions, which faced delays in 2023, and the studio has responded with promising news: a second wave of physical editions is on the way.

The developers of STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl have made an important announcement for fans of the physical format worldwide. To meet the high demand for physical copies of this highly anticipated title—including Day One, special, and collector’s editions—GSC Game World has accelerated production, with the next wave of shipments starting next week.

Physical Copies on the Way – With a Digital Alternative

Due to production issues, the game’s packaging may be a standard plastic case or a universally designed SteelBook. However, should the physical copy be delayed, GSC has confirmed that players will receive a digital copy this month, ensuring that eager fans—who have waited over a decade—won’t have to wait any longer to experience the game on their consoles or PCs.

If the physical edition doesn’t arrive during launch week, GSC estimates orders will be fulfilled between November and April 2025, so fans can expect their copy within that timeframe. Additionally, the contents of the new editions will remain the same as previous releases, so buyers won’t receive a downgraded version or a copy missing components.

The creators of STALKER 2 have been exploring ways to meet the demand for physical editions and are thrilled to share their work with even more players as the launch date approaches.
