Nine Electronic Arts Games Set to Close at the Start of the New Year!

So far, the publisher led by Andrew Wilson had planned to show the red card to two games, but now Electronic Arts has added another SEVEN!

At first, the company only said that The Simpsons: Tapped Out will be ending in January. It’s not even available for purchase now, as it left stores on October 31st. Then Electronic Arts added the Rory McIlroy PGA Tour, whose online functionality would be completely shut down after its servers go off. However, these two titles are exceptions, as they are leaving on a different date than the other seven titles. The seven newly announced games are leaving on the same day. Let’s take a look at the games and their shutdown dates:

  • Rory McIlroy PGA Tour – January 16, 2025
  • The Simpsons: Tapped Out – January 24, 2025
  • Blood & Glory: Immortals on Apple and Google – January 29, 2025
  • Contract Killer: Sniper – January 29, 2025
  • Deer Hunter Classic – January 29, 2025
  • Dino Hunter: Deadly Shores – January 29, 2025
  • Eternity Warriors 4 – January 29, 2025
  • Frontline Commando 2 – January 29, 2025
  • Frontline Commando: D-Day – January 29, 2025

There are still a few titles leaving this year. FIFA 22, their soccer game released three years ago in 2021, will go offline on November 4. It will be followed by Battlefield 3, which is also leaving next week, with an exit date of November 7. Servers for other titles will also be taken down on the same day, including NBA Live 18, Battlefield 4 (PlayStation 3, Xbox 360), and Battlefield: Hardline (PlayStation 3, Xbox 360) will also go off on Thursday.

While it’s a fact that the 2025 titles are mostly mobile, there’s nothing stopping Electronic Arts from shutting down servers for more games before the end of the year. With almost two months left in 2024, they can still do it.
