Warhammer 40,000: Darktide Arrives on PlayStation 5; Join the Fight for Tertium! [VIDEO]

Fatshark is slowly bringing the first-person shooter to all major platforms (though Nintendo hasn’t gotten it yet… and we wouldn’t be surprised if the Switch successor gets it in the fall of 2025).

Warhammer 40K: Darktide isn’t exactly a new title, as it was first released on PC (Steam/Microsoft Store) on November 30, 2022, followed by the Xbox Series on October 4, 2023. So it’s coming to one platform per year, and now it’s Sony’s console. Speaking of the PlayStation 5, Fatshark is of course not missing out on the game’s support for the PlayStation 5 Pro.

The PlayStation 5 port will get all the content and updates released so far as standard, support for the DualSense controller, and if you’re playing on the PlayStation 5 Pro, you can expect a 60 FPS frame rate at 4K resolution. If you’re playing on the base model, you’ll get 60fps at 1440p in Performance mode and 30fps at 4K (2160p) in Quality mode.

Take back the city of Tertium from hordes of bloodthirsty enemies in this intense and brutal action shooter. Warhammer 40,000: Darktide is the new cooperative experience from the award-winning team behind the Vermintide series. In the depths of the Hive, the seeds of corruption threaten to turn into an overwhelming tide of darkness. A mysterious and sinister new force seeks to take control of the entire city. It is up to you and your allies in the Inquisition to root out the enemy before the city succumbs to chaos. Create your own unique character and customize their appearance, voice, and background. Choose your class to determine which unique traits and skills you will use in battle. Will you be a seasoned veteran of the Imperial Army, a snarling outsider, or a fiery zealot? The choice is yours.

Warhammer 40,000: Darktide is coming to PlayStation 5 on December 3rd, so it goes without saying that the game will support the PlayStation 5 Pro, which became available yesterday, right out of the box.
