Sony Set to Launch New Horizon Lego Set?

PlayStation is reportedly planning to release another Lego set, and this time it would consist of 768 pieces, so Sony may already be planning a sequel to Lego Horizon Adventure.

TheBrickReporter, an Instagram account that has previously provided reasonably accurate information about other Lego sets before their release, now claims that a new Horizon Lego set is coming, which will reportedly hit stores in March. The last Lego product based on the Horizon franchise was Tallneck, which hit stores for $80 but has since been discontinued.

There is no word yet on whether there will be other products based on the Horizon franchise, but it was expected that Lego would produce more, as there may be more interest in them as part of Lego Horizon Adventures. Lego Horizon Adventures will be coming to Nintendo Switch, but not Xbox Series (and to this day, we still laugh at the idiotic reasoning behind why it didn’t appear on Microsoft’s console…). The game will tell the story of the first Horizon game, Horizon Zero Dawn, in a completely “nerdy” format, and the game’s main antagonists will all appear in Lego.

Lego Horizon Adventures is a joint project between Guerrilla Games and Studio Gobo and will be released today for PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch and PC using Unreal Engine 5. It’s also Sony’s attempt to expand awareness of the franchise, as the Switch has yet to receive Horizon Zero Dawn or its sequel, Horizon Forbidden West. There’s also a PlayStation VR2 title, Horizon Call of the Mountain, which was released on February 22, 2023 and was one of the launch titles for PSVR2. (We don’t hear much about the PlayStation VR2 these days either, except for the fact that it can be used on PC… are sales here pretty low?)

It’s only a matter of time before they announce a new Horizon-like Lego.
