Microids applied a relatively severe delay in the remake of the late Benoit Sokal’s game, making the previously planned November release impossible.
The French publisher took to Twitter to announce just how much longer we’ll have to wait for their game: “Dear Amerzone fans, we would like to share with you important news regarding the release of Amerzone: The Explorer’s Legacy. Originally scheduled for release in November 2024, the game will be delayed by several months and is now scheduled for release in the second quarter of 2025. We have made this decision to ensure that players have the best possible experience and are fully immersed in this extraordinary adventure.
We still have a lot of work to do to make the game the way we want it to be: a living tribute to Benoit Sokal and his work, but also an initiatory journey that both new and veteran players will be able to (re)discover in the best possible conditions on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series. We will keep you updated on a regular basis, so stay tuned! We sincerely apologize for this discrepancy,” Microids wrote.
