Hela: Scandinavian-Inspired Mouse Launching on Two Consoles! [VIDEO]

Windup Games and Knights Peak have said that their game will be coming to consoles, but it has not been made clear exactly which platforms the open-world adventure inspired by Scandinavian folklore will be coming to.

See the world through the eyes of a brave mouse in this enchanting 3D adventure. Explore breathtaking Scandinavian-inspired landscapes, solve puzzles, and be a force for good in a land where heartwarming storytelling and the beauty of nature intertwine. Hela encourages you to work hand in hand to overcome the challenges that lie ahead. Play solo or with friends via local split-screen multiplayer or online co-op as you explore lush, vibrant landscapes together, from rugged mountain trails to magical forests to tranquil lakes.

Explore a sprawling, lovingly crafted Scandinavian-inspired region filled with magical forests, serene lakes, and rugged mountains. Use your trusty backpack to interact with the world, gather resources, and solve puzzles. Engage with objects that behave realistically, adding a layer of immersion to your magical excursions. Adapt to an ever-changing world and face the adversities of nature. Exercise your mind with engaging puzzles that blend seamlessly into the story, enriching your journey with rewarding challenges. Influence the world of Hela through acts of kindness and witness their transformative effects on characters and yourself. Experience the journey alone or with friends through local split-screen or online modes.

So Hela is a bit Journey-influenced, but that’s okay, because that game was excellent. The game doesn’t have a release date yet, but you can already add it to your wishlist. It’ll be available on PC on Steam and the Epic Games Store, and for consoles, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series have been mentioned as target platforms. So it’ll be on the current generation of consoles.

Will they be joined by the yet-to-be officially christened successor to the Nintendo Switch? If we had to guess, yes.
