PlayStation Plus Essential: What Closes Out 2024? A Few Surprises to Enjoy the 30th Anniversary!

With another month behind us, it’s time to take another look at the titles that will be available to all three tiers of PlayStation Plus subscribers.

Unfortunately, there were no leaks this time, but we did take a look at billbil-kun’s Twitter. He leaks about Sony, but not about PlayStation Plus. Instead, we see that a limited edition DualSense controller is in the works based on the success of Helldivers 2, that the PlayStation Portal we wrote about a few days ago is getting a new color scheme, and that it’s finally getting new functionality, so it’s not just Remote Play. Anyway, let’s see what Sony wants to end this year with…

PlayStation Plus Premium members have received a new demo (Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2, out December 3) and Sony has confirmed that Sly 2: Band of Thieves, Sly 3: Honor Among Thieves and Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy will be coming to PlayStation Plus Premium on December 10. All three are PS2 titles and will be available for PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4. There will also be a free PlayStation Plus weekend from December 6-8. At the same time, there will be an eSports tournament (EA Sports FC 25, NBA 2K25, Tekken 8, Mortal Kombat 1, Madden NFL 25, College Football 25, UFC 5, MLB The Show 24, Guilty Gear Strive). This site is worth a look.

Several countries (Austria, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, United States, Taiwan, Singapore, Korea, Malaysia) will also be taking part in the competition from December 10 to 23, where you can win a 2.5 year (30 months) PlayStation Plus Premium membership if you buy a PlayStation Plus Premium membership and play anything from the Classics catalog. Between December 3 and December 9, you’ll get 30% off the Sony Pictures Core movie catalog as a PS Plus subscriber. And between December 10 and January 10, we’ll give you some points to spend in the Sony Pictures Core app when you buy a 12 month subscription.

Just a reminder of the games still available in November. There’s still a few days left to add them to your account, with the following titles available to PlayStation Plus Essential, PlayStation Plus Extra or

PlayStation Plus Premium subscribers until December 2: Hot Wheels Unleashed 2 – Turbocharged (PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4), Ghostwire: Tokyo (PlayStation 5) and Death Note Killer Within (PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4).

This year’s PlayStation Plus Essential listings are now complete, and we won’t find out about January 2025 this year either, as Sony’s next listing will be on January 1, 2025 (the first Tuesday of the month is January 7th…). Of course, we won’t be so hungover that we’ll have a hard time putting together a list for that year, but it’s still a long way from being the music of the future…

Still, she likes puzzle and story-oriented games, like Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, which is her favourite title. She also played The Sims 3, but after accidentally killing a whole sim family, swore not to play it again. (For our office address, email and phone number check out our IMPRESSUM)
