TECH NEWS – One of Intel’s new graphics cards will only be unveiled tomorrow, but we already know the specs… it’s embarrassing!
This card is part of AsRock’s Challenger series, it has two fans and four monitor outputs. @josefk927 found the card’s specs on 1fotrade, and since they’re a French computer retailer, they certainly have an insight into what products are coming out soon. This Arc B570 has 10GB of GDDR6 VRAM and connects to our motherboard via PCIe 4.0 x8.
The VRAM has a 160-bit memory bus, so the bandwidth is 380GB/s. The GPU’s base clock speed is 2.6GHz, which is 200-250MHz slower than the Arc B580, although this difference could be greater if manufacturers overclock the clock a bit. There are 18 Xe2 cores (the Arc B580 has 20) and a total of 144 CUs (Compute Units). The TDP is not mentioned, but the site suggests to use a 600W power supply and the card has an 8-pin power connector. Since 75W can be consumed via the PCIe slot and 150W via the power connector, the maximum TDP should be around 225W.
AsRock’s Challenger Arc B570 will be a two-slot card. measuring 249 x 132 x 41 millimeters and will have one HDMI 2.1 and three DisplayPort 2.1 ports. The GPU is capable of up to 8K resolution, which would be four times the pixel count of 4K. The official unveiling will probably take place tomorrow, and at that time Intel will not only unveil the Arc B570, but also the more powerful (and more expensive) Arc B580. At that time, Intel will certainly mention the pricing of the cards, but it may only reveal the price of its own production (Founders Edition in the case of Nvidia) cards.
In the case of Intel’s upscaling technology, XeSS, we wrote last week that it is being used by more and more games, and that Arc cards may be able to get a bigger slice of the market pie against Nvidia and AMD hardware.
