Will Apple’s Smart Glasses Arrive by 2030?

TECH NEWS – The Cupertino company still has a long way to go, so don’t expect AR glasses anytime soon; augmented reality is still a long way off!

Apple Vision Pro is an interesting but expensive device that the company is promoting as a kind of spatial computer. Apple wants to make a cheaper version of it, precisely because of the price, and in the meantime is working on AR glasses similar to Meta’s… but the launch will not happen soon. Mark Gurman, Bloomberg editor, said in the Power On newsletter that it will take 3-5 years before Apple can release the glasses.

That leaves current users with the Apple Vision Pro, which is a heavier device. The company is taking its time to get the research and development right. This way, they are not in a hurry to release the device, which means that the company can follow the example of other companies. Although Meta has already introduced its smart glasses, they lack some features, so users don’t have much control over their tanks.

More than once, Apple has released its products later than other companies, and Apple Intelligence is a good example of this. However, when the company introduces a product, it is ready and the software is mature enough. The company probably wants to offer a similar user experience to the Apple Vision Pro, but there will be some key differences in the smart glasses. For now, Apple wants to make sure that the product can be hit properly so that it can be used by the public on a daily, routine basis. However, due to the nature of the product, certain components need to be miniaturized and designed to be stylish. So the Vision Pro will be more like the Apple Watch than the Vision Pro.

But we still have a long way to go. The big question will be how much the company will charge for it. How will they be able to minimize the power consumption of the device?
