TECH NEWS – The Cupertino-based company is rumored not to take a break when Apple releases its M4 MacBook Pro laptops.
Previously, it was rumored that the 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models would debut simultaneously with the M4, M4 Pro and M4 Max, before Apple might take a small break before unveiling the MacBook Air product line. So far, we had also hoped that the iPhone SE 4 would debut before then, but now the opposite is reported by Bloomberg editor Mark Gurman in his Power On newsletter. According to him, the 13-inch and 15-inch M4 MacBook Air models are already in production, but he thinks this will be the first product to debut in 2025, beating out the low-cost iPhone SE 4 and iPad 11 (which will launch later this spring).
As I wrote in October, new entry level iPads (J481 and J482) are coming in the spring. iPhone SE, new iPad Air are on the same general timeline. The M4 MacBook Air will be earlier. https://t.co/0tUlePyFRZ

The lack of a specific timeline isn’t a bad thing, as we’ve known for some time that the 13-inch and 15-inch M4 MacBook Air models would undergo a major design change, but with the spec improvements, it’s not really worth getting our hopes up any higher. Perhaps Apple will increase the amount of unified RAM to 16GB, while the company may also increase the storage to 512GB. The 8GB/256GB memory/storage could be quite limiting, and since these components cannot be upgraded later, Apple has essentially listened to the public’s feedback.
The company has also slashed prices, with the basic 14-inch M4 MacBook Pro on Amazon for $1,400, while the other variants have been cut, although the starting price of $1,600 was surprisingly low compared to previous generation models. The 13-inch and 15-inch M4 MacBook Air retain their fanless design, as both rely on a large heatsink to dissipate hot air. This may not be effective at reducing heat, but it also reduces the weight of the laptop and is quite quiet.
This is all unofficial!
