According to a person who is not exactly reliable, the game from Bethesda Game Studios (BGS) could be in for some drastic changes next year.
On Twitter, Odah wrote that, although it’s really just a rumor on his part, he’s heard that Starfield will get an update in 2025 that no one expected, and he thinks it will change the game’s code in some way. It is this last idea that gives us pause, as it could leave the door open to many things, as it is not a very precise definition.
This is coming straight-up from the Gossip Alley but there have been talks that #Starfield is getting an update next year which NO-ONE expected. Something…code alterting…

The first, and perhaps most logical scenario, is that this refers to the PlayStation 5 port of Starfield. However, that wouldn’t be an update, so the tweet’s definition wouldn’t really cover what it is. In any case, it’s worth remembering that Microsoft has embarked on a multiplatform strategy, so some of its games (Pentiment, Sea of Thieves, Hi-Fi Rush, Grounded, or Indiana Jones and the Great Circle in the spring, even though it’s a Disney IP…) could make it to PlayStation 5 and/or Nintendo Switch.
The second scenario is Starfield: Starborn that we mentioned earlier. This is rumored to be the name of the second Starfield movie. Let’s not forget that Todd Howard has previously stated that he would like to publish a game of the same size as Shattered Space every year, but Hello Games and Sean Murray can only laugh because they have been doing the same with No Man’s Sky since 2016, but completely free and without payment, while Starfield’s content expansion has to be paid for…
Knowing BGS, it must be an update that can ruin mods (even paid ones), and since that was what The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition was, hopefully there won’t be some kind of Starfield re-release, because that would be really too early. Whatever it is, it’s all speculation and rumor!
