MOVIE NEWS – Gal Gadot, the star of the Wonder Woman films, recently shared an emotional revelation on Instagram about the serious health challenges she faced before the birth of her fourth child, Ori. The actress endured weeks of severe headaches until a medical scan revealed a brain blood clot, requiring immediate surgery. At the time, Gadot was eight months pregnant.
In her post, accompanied by a heartfelt photo with one of her children, Gadot explained that this condition is something many expectant mothers might face, though its severity often goes unrecognized.
“This year has been filled with challenges and emotional moments. For a long time, I wrestled with whether or how to share this story. In the end, I decided to follow my heart. Perhaps sharing this helps me process what happened while supporting others in similar situations. My goal is to encourage people to pay attention to their bodies and to offer hope,” Gadot wrote.
The Fragility of Life and the Meaning of a Name
Gadot described how her constant pain left her unable to get out of bed at times, eventually prompting her to seek medical help. An MRI scan revealed a dangerous brain clot that could have been fatal.
“We rushed to the hospital, where I underwent emergency surgery. My daughter, Ori, was born during this time of uncertainty and fear. Her name, meaning ‘my light,’ was chosen for a reason. Before the surgery, I told Jaron that when our daughter arrived, she would be the light at the end of this dark tunnel.”
Now fully recovered, Gadot expressed deep gratitude for the medical team’s swift and precise care. Ori was born healthy, and the family cherishes every moment together.
Life-Saving Lessons
The actress emphasized the importance of listening to our bodies’ signals. “Every pain, discomfort, or even the smallest change can be significant. By paying attention, lives can be saved.”
While brain clots are rare, especially among pregnant women, Gadot noted that it’s crucial to raise awareness. The condition is most common in mothers over 30, occurring in roughly three out of every 100,000 pregnancies.
*“My goal isn’t to scare anyone but to inspire strength. If sharing my story encourages even one person to take care of their health, then it’s worth it,” Gadot concluded.
