European Sales in 2024

While 2024 was a remarkable year, 2025 promises even bigger releases. Looking back at European sales, journalist Chris Dring highlighted, “Video game sales in Europe were relatively strong in 2024,” though “only three new titles made it into the top 10, and two were from annual franchises: FIFA, Call of Duty, and Helldivers 2.”

Titles like Space Marine 2 and Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero placed 12th and 13th, respectively. Other notable mentions include Final Fantasy VII Rebirth (12th), Star Wars Outlaws (14th), and Dragon Age: The Veilguard (19th), according to Wccftech. Overall, “sales of new games in 2024 fell by 29% compared to 2023, nearly a third.” With major releases like Switch 2, GTA 6, Elden Ring: Nightreign, Assassin’s Creed: Shadows, and Monster Hunter: Wilds on the horizon, 2025 looks set to rebound significantly.
