As the new year begins for Microsoft, the Redmond-based company has announced the titles that will be added to Xbox Game Pass.
For now, let’s just say that this update will consist mostly of titles that were previously available to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers, but now Xbox Game Pass Standard members will also have access to these games. Road 96 is now available (console = Xbox Series, Xbox One; PC, cloud; returning title, for Ultimate/Standard/PC Game Pass members). Four titles that will also be available with an Xbox Game Pass Standard subscription will be available from January 8: Lightyear Frontier (Game Preview = title in development, Xbox Series), My Time at Sandrock (console), Robin Hood: Sherwood Builders (Xbox Series), and Rolling Hills (console). EA Sports UFC 5 (Xbox Series, Cloud; EA Play/Xbox Game Pass Ultimate) is coming January 14th, and the Bruce Lee Bundle will also be available in the Perks section from January 14th to February 11th. The other big launch is Diablo (PC; Xbox Game Pass Ultimate/Xbox Game Pass), also starting January 14.
There are four Xbox Game Pass Ultimate benefits. The second season of First Descendant has the Ancestors Bundle, Vigor has the Coast Guardian Pack, Apex Legends has the Feelin’ Lucky? weapon pack, and Metaball has the Punk Pack for more expensive subscribers. Finally, here are the titles that will be removed from the Xbox Game Pass list on January 15th (unlike Sony, Microsoft is willing to announce this on their website), but you can purchase them at a discount of up to 20% to keep them available after that date.
These games are Common’Hood (console, cloud, PC), Escape Academy (console, cloud, PC), Exoprimal (console, cloud, PC), Figment (console, cloud, PC), Insurgency: Sandstorm (console, cloud, PC), and Those Who Remain (console, cloud, PC).
And that’s it for this update. From now on, you’ll have to get used to the fact that neither Sony nor Microsoft are going to overdo it.
