MOVIE NEWS – Tremendous recognition for Hungarian cinema: Dávid Jancsó has received an Oscar nomination as the editor of The Brutalist. The standout films of late last year, Wicked, The Brutalist, and Anora, dominated the nominations, each competing in 10 categories. The awards ceremony will take place on March 2, where we can root for Hungarian filmmakers.
10 nominations were announced during this year’s Oscar nominations for Wicked, the magical family film from late last year, and The Brutalist, which was largely shot in Hungary and features numerous Hungarian connections. Congratulations to Dávid Jancsó, who is nominated as the editor of The Brutalist!
The awards ceremony will be held on March 2.
