Koei Tecmo and Team Ninja have not only announced the game, they’ve released it right away so you don’t have to wait.
Take on the role of Ryu Hayabusa, a ninja who has inherited the legendary “Dragon Sword” and takes on battles across the world in this graphical remake of the popular high-speed ninja action title that returns after 15 years! The stages, characters, effects and lighting have been completely redesigned and remastered to provide realistic visuals. Unreal Engine 5 has been used to create stunning current-generation graphics, allowing players to immerse themselves in the world of the story.
Gore elements such as dismemberment and blood have been remastered to enhance the action experience. Players can enjoy fast-paced, violent action using a variety of weapons and techniques, including Japanese swords, shurikens, kusari-gamas, and tonfas. (The dismemberment feature can be turned on or off in the Options menu.)
This remake includes additional elements from spin-off titles released after the original. Players can control three additional characters: Momiji, Ayane, and Rachel. The game also includes the “Hero Play Style” mode, which provides automatic assistance in challenging situations, making it accessible to those who may not be confident in their action skills. These characters first appeared in Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2.
Ninja Gaiden II Black is a remake of Ninja Gaiden II and is also available in a physical version through Play-Asia. The Asian edition has English language support and can be purchased for $50. The game is already available for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC (both on Steam and the Microsoft Store). Xbox Game Pass subscribers can also access the game through the service’s offerings.
It was a big surprise release two years ago and was a huge success. Tango Gamemasters’ Hi-Fi Rush launched earlier this year for Xbox Series and PC and later went multiplatform.
