South Korea is making waves in the gaming industry. The creators of Lies of P are teaming up with the mastermind behind Dishonored, as NEOWIZ takes on the publishing role for Raphaël Colantonio’s yet-unnamed RPG.
Raphaël Colantonio might not be a household name, but he’s one of the most influential creatives in modern gaming. The French developer led Arkane Studios for 18 years, giving the world iconic titles like Arx Fatalis, Dishonored, and Prey. Though he parted ways with Arkane, he hasn’t left game development behind. His upcoming first-person sci-fi RPG has now secured a publisher: the same company behind Lies of P.
While Colantonio’s new project still lacks an official title and release date, it’s set to be an ambitious blend of Prey and Dishonored, infused with the depth of Weird West. The game is in development under Wolfeye Studios, a company founded by Colantonio and former Arkane veterans. As an independent studio, however, Wolfeye had yet to find a publisher—until now.
South Korea’s gaming dominance is evident with this partnership
In a press release shared by Gematsu, NEOWIZ’s Co-CEO Seungchul Kim expressed excitement about the collaboration:
“Partnering with a studio packed with incredible talent like Wolfeye is a strategic and timely decision for us. This collaboration reaffirms our commitment to delivering extraordinary story-driven games that resonate with gamers around the world on PC and consoles.”
This deal is yet another example of how South Korean and Chinese studios are aggressively expanding their presence in the global gaming market.
Colantonio also shared his vision for the game and partnership:
“We have a burning passion to create a very specific type of game that combines role-playing, action, and simulation. These games can only succeed when the publisher shares that same passion.”
Julien Roby, Executive Producer at Wolfeye Studios, also highlighted the significance of working with NEOWIZ:
“With NEOWIZ, we found a partner who truly understands our vision and is as committed as we are to delivering a unique, creative, and memorable gaming experience that will appeal to both our long-term fans and new players.”
Alongside the announcement, Wolfeye Studios shared two new concept art images showcasing the game. While gameplay details remain scarce, the combination of retro sci-fi aesthetics and action mechanics hints at a visually and mechanically compelling experience.
