Huawei Mate XT: How the Chinese Company Stays Ahead of the Competition [VIDEO]

TECH NEWS – The Chinese company is still trying to stay in the lead and it wants to keep it with its new device.

The market for foldable devices is starting to pick up speed. There are several companies planning to release such devices and there is room for experimentation. Samsung was the pioneer in this field and the South Korean company is still in a good position, but Huawei is starting to catch up. While several tech giants are preparing to unveil a tri-fold device, Huawei has surprised everyone by unveiling the Mate XT Ultimate, which has already made its domestic appearance (the device has been available there since September).

However, the public wants Huawei to sell the Mate XT Ultimate not only in China, and the company has responded by announcing on Twitter that there will be an innovative product launch event on February 18, presumably in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. In the video below, you can see Huawei’s Mete XT Ultimate and Mate X6. Both devices are expected to be released worldwide in 2025.

Huawei has not yet announced which countries the foldable smartphone will be available in, nor how much it will cost. WCCFTech estimates that the Chinese company will charge around $2800 for it, and in Europe it will be more (the US price doesn’t include sales tax, as it differs per US state, and import costs have to be added), so it will sell for around €3500. However, given the form factor, the pricing is reasonable.

We’ve already seen that the Huawei Mate XT Ultimate was not released in perfect quality in China, and since it will take about half a year before the company’s device will be available on the Western market, hopefully the teething problems will be worked out.
