Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii: System Requirements for Enjoying Pirate Adventures

It looks like Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio’s game could also run well on handheld PCs (although there’s one thing that will be bothersome).

Let’s take a look at the system requirements:

Minimum system requirements – 1080p resolution, 30 FPS frame rate, low graphics preset, AMD FSR balanced preset (upscaling):

  • 64-bit operating system and processor required
  • Operating system: Windows 10 x64 v1909 (build 18363.1350)
  • Processor: Intel Core i5-3470/AMD Ryzen 3 1200; AVX and SSE 4.2 support required
  • Memory: 8 GB RAM
  • Graphics card: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1650/AMD Radeon RX 560/Intel Arc A380
  • DirectX: DX12
  • Free storage: 56 GB
  • Windows-compatible sound card
  • Internet connection (for Denuvo)

Recommended system requirements – 1080p resolution, 60 FPS frame rate, high graphics preset:

  • 64-bit operating system and processor required
  • Operating system: Windows 10 x64 v1909 (build 18363.1350)
  • Processor: Intel Core i7-4790/AMD Ryzen 5 1600; AVX and SSE 4.2 support required
  • Memory: 16 GB RAM
  • Graphics card: Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060/AMD Radeon RX 5700/Intel Arc A750
  • DirectX: DX12
  • Free storage: 56 GB, SSD recommended
  • Windows-compatible sound card
  • Internet connection (for Denuvo)

These are very friendly system requirements, as SEGA and Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio have put not-so-modern processors and graphics cards on Steam. As for the operating system, they’re pretty specific about what you need, but that’s fair, because in many cases they don’t even list the version number next to Windows 10/11. Like a dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii has already passed Steam Deck certification, so Valve’s hardware will support it (despite the home-grown Denuvo?), so we’re seeing an improvement here over the previous installment.

Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii will be released on February 20 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. The game will be a side story to Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth (aka Yakuza 8; the Japanese title will include the word Gaiden in the title and the number eight/infinity in the logo).
