Grand Theft Auto V: The PC Finally Catches Up!

Finally, Rockstar’s PC port of the game will no longer be on par with PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, as a major free update is coming.

Rockstar Games has announced that a free update will finally bring the PC port of Grand Theft Auto V up to par with the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series versions. This will improve graphics, speed up loading times with DirectStorage (and probably increase system requirements). Since Sony and Microsoft’s current-gen consoles have had the update for quite some time, it should be said that Rockstar and Take-Two have taken their time…

Enjoy a range of new vehicles and upgrades at Hao’s Special Works (HSW) that push vehicle performance to new heights, and test your driving skills with Premium Test Rides, HSW Races and HSW Time Trials. Meet and photograph the wildlife of Southern San Andreas to participate in the daily Wildlife Photography Challenge and earn new rewards. PC gamers can sign up for a GTA+ membership to receive special benefits in the upgraded version of Grand Theft Auto Online and beyond.

Track your criminal movements across all Grand Theft Auto Online updates with the Career Progress feature as you build your empire. Navigate an updated landing page as your starting destination to get right into the action. Plus, take advantage of an improved introductory flow for newer players with a GTA$4,000,000 windfall to purchase real estate, vehicles, and other items as you start out as an Executive, Gunrunner, Nightclub Owner, or Biker in the Career Builder. This updated version of Grand Theft Auto V for PC also features all of the latest player experience enhancements for Grand Theft Auto Online, including kernel-based anti-cheat protection and proactive voice chat moderation to help keep Grand Theft Auto Online safe, secure and fun for everyone.

Ray-traced global illumination and amibent occlusion, Nvidia DLSS 3, AMD FSR 1/3 support, DualSense support and Dolby Atmos support are also coming in the update, which will arrive on March 4.
