The game formerly known as Project Relic, developed by Project Cloud Games (and to be published by Perp Games), has surfaced during the IGN Fan Fest with a short but all the more exciting video.

The fate of the Arsiltus is now in your hands. In this action-RPG, you embark on a heroic adventure to save the world from the darkness as the last Guardian. The once-prosperous Arsiltus has been swallowed up by the void created by the destruction of the great relic and transformed into the Land of Death. Now your mission is to find the pieces of the shattered Great Relic and close the Void.

This game offers in-depth gameplay with a thrilling battle and a variety of rune settings. Develop your character with different skills and custom settings, and explore the collapsed world while following an exciting story. You must solve the riddle of Arsiltus, gather the pieces of the great relic, and lead the world back to prosperity. You are the last hope of the Arsiltus. Begin your journey as a guardian, collecting pieces of the great relic and closing the void. Your adventure will lead Arsiltus into a new era.

The developers have described The Relic: First Guardian as a semi-open world action-RPG where players can explore an apocalyptic fantasy world and experience a variety of action-packed experiences. There will be five different types of weapons to choose from, each with unique abilities that can be varied to suit your play style. There will be no traditional RPG-inspired leveling system. Instead, the developers will base character progression entirely on runes, items, and crafting. These rewards will be earned by completing dungeons and defeating bosses.

The game (still called Project Relic) was announced at Gamescom 2021, three and a half years ago. At the time, it was billed as a multiplayer title, but those plans have changed, as The Relic: First Guardian is now a single-player project coming to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series and PC sometime this year.
