Tripwire Interactive’s beta test of Killing Floor III was such a flop that the game will not be released on March 25th!
Tripwire’s horror first-person shooter is now scheduled for release sometime this year, so expect a delay of up to nine months, but it could be as little as two months. All pre-orders so far have been canceled and money spent on them is being refunded, which could indicate serious problems. A detailed Q&A has been posted on the Tripwire Interactive forums to inform players how they can get their money back for the game. Check out Tripwire’s announcement:

“Dear Killing Floor fans, we have made the decision to postpone the release of Killing Floor III to an undetermined date later in 2025. After taking the time to gather and discuss feedback from our recent closed beta, we realized that we had missed the mark. Our goal is not only to make Killing Floor III an ambitious step forward for the franchise, but also to maintain the core experience you’ve come to know and love.
With the full support of our parent company, Embracer Group, we’re working together on a timeline to address many of the common issues players had during the beta, including performance/stability, UI/user experience, lighting, and weapon feel. While it’s too early to say which fixes will be in place by launch, we can confirm that an update that will allow you to choose your perk class and character independently is planned for post-launch. We look forward to another opportunity to show you a more polished version of Killing Floor III, and when we’re ready to share more details, you’ll be the first to know. Until then, thank you for your continued patience and overwhelming support,” Tripwire wrote.
Killing Floor III is still scheduled for release on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series and PC (Steam, Epic Games Store) sometime in 2025.
