Based on the previews, the port of the game doesn’t look good, so this time we have to prepare for a PC port that should be better.
Last March, Rise of the Ronin was released for PlayStation 5, a year ago to mostly positive reviews, although it didn’t have outstanding reviews, but it received a lot of praise for its historical narrative and strong RPG elements. There will be a PC port of the game. This was confirmed back in January, and although we still have to wait a little longer for the release, the previews published by the press do not paint a very positive picture of the conversion…
Push Square has reported that the upcoming PC version of Rise of the Ronin has some pretty serious problems, especially with performance. According to their report, the game hasn’t been optimized very well, as a disproportionately powerful configuration is required to run Team Ninja’s game acceptably. This is shocking, as one of the negatives of the PlayStation 5’s original release was the dated graphics, and if it weren’t for the excellent art direction, the scores would have been much worse. Maybe it’s just that the previews were written based on a version that was missing the day one patch… but that still doesn’t sound very good.
Unfortunately, Team Ninja and a good PC port are rarely in the same sentence. Two years ago, Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty was released on Steam, and it too ran rather problematically. Even though it had a simultaneous multiplatform release at the time. Both games use the Katana engine. Team Ninja is still busy though. Ninja Gaiden 2 Black has already been released, Ninja Gaiden 4 is in the works and Venus Vacation Prism: Dead or Alive Xtreme is also in the works.
How the hell can they not make good PC ports?
