Lollipop Chainsaw RePop: Will the Nightmare Mode Be a Nightmare?

A new game mode will be added to Dragami Games’ game and released as a free update.

Nightmare Mode is an additional content update in which Juliet awakens as a legendary zombie hunter. This mode becomes available after achieving a happy ending in either Original Mode or RePop Mode. The setting of this mode is San Romero High School, which is surrounded by a dark and immersive world within Juliet’s dream. Similar to the original mode, the game progresses step by step, starting with the prologue. While the story and dialog remain the same as in the original mode, all of the zombies that appear in this mode have been replaced with named zombies. In addition, the Voices of Darkness enemies have undergone parameter and behavior changes, making them even more formidable.

In Nightmare Mode, players can obtain various items that awaken Juliet’s latent abilities. By collecting these items, Juliet will fully realize her potential as a legendary zombie hunter, allowing for high-speed, acrobatic combat on a whole new level. Players can purchase the following eight Awakening Items to enhance Juliet’s abilities: the High-Power Dumbbells increase attack power, the Speed Armband increases attack speed, the Winged Sneakers increase movement speed, the Power Engine increases chainsaw movement speed, the Smart Chip speeds up Sparkle Hunt effects, the Chain Motor speeds up slicing QTEs, the High-Speed Loader increases blaster fire rate, and the Special Backpack increases maximum ammo capacity.

These include the High-Power Dumbbells and the Speed Armband, which are available at the start of Nightmare Mode. The other items can be purchased from the in-game store within the mode. Additionally, players can unlock the Legendary Zombie Hunter skill Aura of Legend by completing level 6, which enhances Juliet’s chainsaw and increases its attack range. These awakened abilities can also be transferred to other modes (Original Mode, RePop Mode, and Time Attack). With a few exceptions, players can toggle their effects on and off in the Options menu.

Lollipop Chainsaw RePop’s Nightmare Mode will launch sometime in April (on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch).
