Nvidia Wants to Spend Hundreds of Billions of Dollars on US Manufacturing!

TECH NEWS – The company is also working on a deal with Intel’s foundry to support Nvidia’s US manufacturing.

With the Trump administration coming into office, it seems that major US tech companies now believe in domestic chip manufacturing, and with companies like TSMC showing increasing interest in setting up US facilities, it seems that Trump’s decisions have worked so far.In an interview with the Financial Times, Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang revealed that his company will indeed be a major buyer of chips made in the US, and that Nvidia could potentially produce “hundreds of billions” worth of AI hardware in the country, given the huge strides the nation has made in this segment.

“In total, we’re probably going to be procuring half a trillion dollars worth of electronics over the next four years. And I think we can easily see ourselves making several hundred billion of those here in the United States. The important thing is to be prepared. At this point, we know we can manufacture in the U.S., we have a sufficiently diversified supply chain,” Huang said.

Companies have shown great interest in U.S. chip manufacturing because they cannot rely solely on Taiwan, which is in the middle of a regional conflict (China has its eye on it), but all the global companies sourcing chips from Taiwan have created a huge supply chain imbalance. With U.S. chip manufacturing, tech companies would not only have a more diverse supply chain, but they would also not have to worry about running into problems due to geopolitical tensions…

This has resulted in the premium DualSense Edge, which has the adaptive triggers and haptic feedback of the base version, plus interchangeable analog levers, three levels of triggering for L2 and R2, so it aims to go well beyond the base controller. However, we should add that Sony’s controller is currently only in patent form. And a patent doesn’t always come back in the form of a product, so it could end up being just a concept and nothing more.

Good thing they have more plans.
