TECH NEWS – Rumors suggest that the South Korean company may skimp a little on the top-of-the-line 2026 model, which is already being tested…
Samsung already has prototypes of the Galaxy S26 Ultra. One of these is said to have only three rear cameras, while this year’s model, the Galaxy S25 Ultra, got four from the South Korean company, but to make up for this Samsung is reportedly bringing back a feature it removed from this year’s lineup, while also trying out stacked battery technology, so there’s a chance that it won’t just have a 5000 mAh battery.
On Twitter, @Vhsss_God shared what he thinks could be one of the prototype configurations of the Galaxy S26 Ultra. So there will be three rear cameras, but it’s not known which one has been left out, but presumably Samsung has decided to go back to variable aperture technology, as they did with the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9 Plus.

Stacked battery 5500 mah has also been achieved already, now trying to squeeze more in— God (@Vhsss_God) March 21, 2025
They would also bring back Bluetooth connectivity, which Samsung removed from the Galaxy S25 Ultra S Pen, as the prototype’s stylus also has it. By the way, this was also demanded by fans in a petition, but the fact is that the 9,000 or so signatures don’t seem that significant. The Galaxy S26 Utra’s battery already has a capacity of over 5500 mAh, and the South Koreans are wondering how to push it even higher: they are reportedly working on silicon-carbon batteries, which could potentially allow a battery of up to 7000 mAh.
Instead of stacked batteries (previously rumored for the Galaxy S24 Ultra), silicon-carbon could be the ideal way forward, as almost all Chinese competitors have switched to this technology, so these devices could boast better battery life than Samsung’s smartphones.
However, Galaxy Unpacked 2026 is still a long way off, and Samsung could change a lot about its flagship by then…
