The GOG Preservation Program, announced last November, aims to keep classic PC games fully playable on modern hardware even after developer support has ceased.
GOG has announced 27 classic PC games newly joining its Preservation Program, including fan-favorites such as Silent Hill 4: The Room, F.E.A.R. Platinum, and three beloved Tomb Raider titles. To celebrate, these new additions and many other previously included titles have been discounted during GOG’s ongoing Spring Sale.
Here’s the complete list of games recently inducted into the program:
- Alien Breed + Tower Assault
- Alone in the Dark: The Trilogy 1+2+3
- Cannon Fodder
- Cannon Fodder 2

Titles participating in the Preservation Program are clearly marked with a special badge on GOG’s store page, along with detailed notes on how each game has been updated.
Silent Hill 4: The Room, originally launched on PC over two decades ago, now boasts full compatibility with Windows 10 and 11 and supports modern controllers. Previously missing hauntings have also been restored, providing the complete experience to PC players for the first time.
Additionally, Tomb Raider Underworld received improvements for better DirectX compatibility, a stable 60 fps framerate cap, and cloud save integration.
This latest round of additions brings the total number of games under the Preservation Program to 141. GOG aims to reach 500 preserved titles by the end of 2025, with ambitions to eventually preserve their entire catalog of thousands of PC games.
