PlayStation Plus Essential: What’s in Store for April 2025?

Another month has come and gone, and this time we’ve been given a little early notice of the games that PlayStation Plus subscribers will have access to, regardless of their subscription level, due to differences in Daylight Saving Time.

The reason Sony announced the April games available to PlayStation Plus Essential, PlayStation Plus Extra, and PlayStation Plus Premium subscribers at 4:30 p.m. EDT is because we’re switching to Daylight Saving Time on Sunday, while North America has already done so. Of course, there hasn’t been a leak this time either (although billbil-kun has been reliable in the past; he recently announced a PlayStation 5 version of Indiana Jones and the Great Circle ahead of the official date). So what exactly can we expect in April?

The headline title for April will be Robocop: Rogue City (PlayStation 5), which will also be getting a standalone add-on later this summer (as previously reported in the news) so that more people can experience Robocop’s otherwise decent story. The second game of the month is The Texas Chain Saw Massacre (PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4), based on the 1974 horror film. The third game is also a bit of a layered title this time around, with Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth – Hacker’s Memory (PlayStation 4). The games will be available on PlayStation Plus from April 1 to May 5.

But there’s still a few days left to catch up on March’s games, as they’re still available to subscribers until the 31st. So here’s a reminder of those titles. The highlight of the month was Dragon Age: The Veilguard, released on October 31st (PlayStation 5; BioWare’s development was such a financial failure for Electronic Arts that it was included in the BASIC PlayStation Plus offering just four months after release…). March’s second game is Sonic Colors: Ultimate (PlayStation 4). The third game is more of a collection, with 13 titles, as it’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Cowabunga Collection (PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4).

This list is not too bad and certainly the interest will be higher than in March.
