CINEMA NEWS – Tom Cruise will now be taking on a new role: he has become godfather to Hayley Atwell’s little girl.

The actress was most recently the female lead in Mission: Impossible – Part 1 and will of course return in the sequel, Mission: Impossible – The Final Showdown.

Atwell and Cruise were in the news during the filming of the previous M:I, but they insisted that they had only become good friends while working, and that there was no closer relationship than that. As a result of this move, they have now become related to each other. The girl’s father is composer and lyricist Ned Wolfgang Kelly, who is already engaged to the actress, but a wedding is not yet in sight.
