Developed by Storm in a Teacup and published by ESDigital Games, Steel Seed immerses players in a dark, futuristic world. The story follows Zoe, a young woman who awakens in an unfamiliar body inside a massive tech facility filled with deadly machines controlled by artificial intelligence. Players must guide Zoe through this mysterious setting, battling robotic threats, solving puzzles (sometimes with the help of a drone named KOBY), and uncovering secrets hidden throughout the environment.

Steel Seed offers players the flexibility to approach situations in their own way. Zoe can move stealthily through the shadows, using distractions and environmental tools to avoid combat. Alternatively, she can take a more aggressive approach, engaging in dynamic fights against enemies and bosses. Both playstyles can be enhanced through a three-branch skill tree offering a total of 40 upgrades.
