The first-person and third-person shooter with sentient action figures was previously unavailable on PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4.
Hyercharge: Unboxed was first released on Nintendo Switch on January 31, 2020, and then on PC (Steam) on April 27, 2020. The Xbox Series and Xbox One versions took quite a while to come out, as it was released on May 31 last year, nearly four years after the Switch/PC versions. The PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 versions also support cross-play with the Xbox and PC versions.

“Hypercharge: Unboxed was a smash hit on PC, Switch, and Xbox, where it was named one of the top six indie titles of 2024. When we released it on Xbox, the game sold over 100,000 units in its first month without Game Pass or a publisher – but we’ve had thousands of fans on social media asking if and when it would be coming to PlayStation. You asked, we delivered, and we’re thrilled to announce that PlayStation players will soon be able to join in on the fun. Even better, you will be able to play cross-platform with your friends on other systems, making sure everyone gets in on the fun,” wrote Joe Henson, Creative Gameplay and Marketing Director at Digital Cybercherry, in the press release.
Hypercharge: Unboxed is coming to PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 later this year.
