TECH NEWS – The German situation is likely to apply to the rest of the region, so the ‘reds’ are in a good position.
AMD is surprisingly leading GPU sales at one of Germany’s largest retailers, with more than 50% of all GPUs sold this week. Early sales statistics have been released courtesy of German retailer Mindfactory. With improved availability, AMD has been selling close to 100 units of the RX 9070 XT per day, but by the end of the week they reported that they had sold a total of 340 units. According to the report, Mindfactory is still working on replenishing the stock, so the numbers are likely to be higher than ever next week and the weeks after.
There are currently six Radeon RX 9070 XT editions available, all from XFX. Therefore, it is still difficult to get one of the models from other brands. There are only two editions of the RX 9070 on the site, and it’s not in a very bright spot. The RX 9070 XT is powered by the GeForce RTX 5080. 220 of them were sold during the week, which is a surprisingly good result considering the poor start this card had.

The RX 7800 XT is still one of the most popular cards in Mindfactory’s range, but it’s already far behind the two GPUs mentioned above. About 60 of them were sold this week, which is on par with Nvidia’s flagship GeForce, the RTX 5090. The RTX 5070 Ti came in fifth with 45 units. The next RTX 5000 card on the list is the RTX 5070, but only around 30 of these have been sold, with the rest of the list featuring previous generation Nvidia and AMD cards. In terms of revenue, Nvidia won despite selling 395 of the company’s cards compared to AMD’s 440, and the reason for this is the difference in price.
While AMD’s average price was €751, Nvidia’s was almost twice as high at €1549. This is mainly due to the sales of the RTX 5080, but the RTX 5090 also plays a role. AMD has no cards over $1000 in the current generation. In terms of market share, Mindfactory is only one piece of the puzzle. Interesting fact: there is no Intel Arc graphics card on the list…
