NINTENDO NEWS – Sixteen new games announced all at once; even FromSoftware is involved!

Get ready for Donkey Kong Bananza, an all-new 3D platforming action-adventure. Crash, smash and climb through almost everything in DK’s path, tearing off chunks of terrain to swing around and engage in groundbreaking exploration. The more you smash, the more areas open up for exploration. Take off on an adventure filled with mayhem, surprises and bananas. Kirby Air Riders, an all-new title based on the classic Nintendo GameCube racing action game Kirby Air Ride, was announced by Masahiro Sakurai, director of the Super Smash Bros. series. The trailer showed a dramatic introduction of Kirby on his Warp Star machine and other Kirby air riders on a variety of unique machines as they came together on a racetrack. The Moon Tears will flow for one and all in The Duskbloods, an all-new multiplayer title from the creators of Dark Souls and Elden Ring, FromSoftware, directed by Hidetaka Miyazaki. There’s also Arcade Archives 2 Ridge Racer. Ridge Racer is a racing game released by Namco (Bandai Namco Entertainment) in 1993. Experience the essence of virtual reality with the 3D CG system, System 22. This title offers four game modes, including three difficulty levels – Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced – as well as Time Trial (T.T.), where you race against a rival car in a one-on-one race for the best time. Also included is a DX version with support for an H-shifter and clutch.

Fast Fusion is the latest entry in the Fast series of racing games from Shin’en Multimedia. It may be the fastest racing game you have ever experienced! Non-stop adrenaline pumping action at 60 frames per second in up to 4K HDR. Vehicles are equipped with anti-gravity hyper-jump technology. Cut corners and get ahead of your opponents by jumping and boosting over them. Create hundreds of new racers by merging your favorite vehicles. In Kou Shibusawa’s historical simulation, Nobunaga’s Ambition: Awakening Complete Edition, players must learn the finer points of military might and political cunning. A culmination of the series’ 40-year history, players attempt to achieve Nobunaga Oda’s unfulfilled ambition of unifying Japan through a series of escalating war strategies and diplomacy. Optimized for the Nintendo Switch 2 system, including Joy-Con 2 mouse controls, the game not only features DLC from the original title, but also includes six new scenarios and climactic Decisive Battles. Launch joint attacks with allies, break through frontlines en route to enemy castles, and appoint officers to influence both political and economic strategies as players experience the life of a daimyo – a powerful Japanese leader – during the turbulent times of the Warring States Period in 16th century Japan. Users who own Nobunaga’s Ambition: Awakening for PlayStation 4, Switch, or PC via Steam will be able to upgrade to the content of the Complete Edition via paid downloadable content. Save data can also be transferred. The free content update includes new gameplay elements such as Decisive Battles between large clans and new traits for officers, as well as improved graphics on Steam. The paid DLC includes six new scenarios (one scenario is new to the English version) and two scenarios previously released as an early-bird bonus.

Puyo Puyo Tetris 2S is the ultimate showdown between two of the world’s top action-puzzle games. Packed with all the content from Puyo Puyo Tetris 2, this classic duo is back with 12 different ways to play Puyo Puyo and Tetris. What’s more, this latest installment introduces Puyo Tetris Doubles: a two-player co-op mode where two friends can work together on the same board to organize, stack and chain Puyo pairs and Tetriminos as they fall. Survival Kids is a survival adventure game available exclusively for Nintendo Switch 2. Picture this: A dusty old attic, cobwebs, forgotten boxes, and the faint smell of neglect. Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment is the latest title in the Hyrule Warriors series and is being developed by Koei Tecmo Games with support from Nintendo. The game features epic battles against hordes of enemies as it tells the untold story from Hyrule’s distant past of the Imprisoning War, which ultimately led to the events of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Fans of The Legend of Zelda series and players of both The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom will be able to experience the thrill of combat and this canonical story featuring Princess Zelda, King Rauru and other familiar characters. Fight for the future of Hyrule when Hyrule Warriors: Age of Capture launches. Hitman World of Assassination – Signature Edition includes the main campaign, Contracts mode, Escalation, Elusive Target arcades, featured live content, Freelancer game mode, and all content from the Hitman II Expansion Pack & Hitman III Deluxe Pack. Pre-order customers will receive access to the Signature Pack, which includes two additional in-game outfits and items. Donkey Kong Bananza is out on July 17 (for $70). Kirby Air Riders is coming this year. The Duskbloods will be released next year. Arcade Archives 2 Ridge Racer will be an opening title (out on June 5th), as will Fast Fusion and Nobunaga’s Ambition: Awakening Complete Edition (coming to PlayStation 5 and PC in addition to Switch 2). Puyo Puyo Tetris 2S, Survival Kids will also be an opening title, Wild Hearts S will be released on July 25, Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment is coming in the winter, Hitman World of Assassination – Signature Edition will arrive in June, Elden Ring Tarnished Edition is set for 2025, and Drag X Drive is coming in the summer. The Nintendo Switch 2 Welcome Tour, essentially a digital interactive guide, will launch on June 5, and Mario Kart World will be an $80 launch title (in Europe, the physical edition costs €90…).
