NINTENDO NEWS – This time around, we’re rounding up third-party games that haven’t mentioned Switch 2 as a target platform.

Human Fall Flat 2 is the bigger, better and clumsier sequel to the global puzzle-platformer sensation, featuring all-new levels, customizable characters and even wilder physics-based fun. Each intricate level is packed with new toys and gadgets to fiddle with as you solve a series of fiendish puzzles alone or in teams of up to eight friends. A new physics engine, new gameplay interactions, and new mechanics make each session uniquely silly and more dynamic than ever before. Combined with refined controls, visuals and music, Human Fall Flat 2 is a slapstick experience unlike any other! In Tamagochi Plaza, the latest title in the Tamagotchi Connection: Corner Shop series, boost each shop’s reputation by taking orders and interacting with special Tamagotchi visitors. As more new Tamagotchi stop by, you’ll have the opportunity to help solve their problems. Together, we can make the town vibrant and full of life!

In Reanimal, the original creators of Little Nightmares and Little Nightmares II have returned to take you on a more terrifying journey than ever before. In this cooperative horror-adventure game, you play as a brother and sister who journey through hell to rescue their missing friends. Exploring by boat and on land, you must use your wits to survive and work together to escape the hellish island and the dark secret that haunts you. This unsettling tale focuses on suspense and atmosphere as you join the two orphans in a desperate search for hope and redemption in the direst of circumstances. Traverse a fascinating and terrifying world where the main path is only part of the fragmented story. Discover all sorts of mysterious locations on your perilous journey, each with its own story to tell. Tarsier Studios brings its unique visual style to a host of new, twisted monsters and broken, yet resilient, child characters. Fragments of the children’s troubled past have been used as inspiration for their character design and the monsters that now torment them. No one should have to go through hell alone! Fully playable in single-player, local co-op, and online co-op, Reanimal features a shared, directed camera designed to maximize claustrophobia and tension.

In No Sleep For Kaname Date – From AI: The Somnium Files, players take on the role of Kaname Date, the protagonist, who teams up with the AI ball Aiba to solve a mysterious case and rescue Iris, an Internet idol who has been forced to participate in a dangerous escape game.  Escape is a new gameplay element. In Investigation, players will investigate crime scenes and listen to witness testimony. In Somnium, players enter the dream worlds of suspects and key witnesses. In the new Escape sections, players will solve puzzles to break out of locked rooms. By moving between these three sections, players can obtain the clues they need to solve the case. Game director Kazuya Yamada (Spike Chunsoft) is writing the scenario, with Kotaro Uchikoshi, the previous scenario writer, supervising as series director. Yusuke Kozaki returns as character designer, and Keisuke Ito continues as music composer. One day after the resolution of the New Cyclops serial killings, Internet idol Iris Sagan (known as “A-set”) is abducted by a UFO and forced to participate in a dangerous escape game called The Third Eye Game. In another part of the city, a mysterious device resembling a coffin is discovered. Attached to it is a note that reads: Psync me. Relying on a tenuous line of communication with the missing Iris, a man resurfaces, determined to track down the UFO that should not exist. Together with his partner, the AI ball Aiba, he sets out on a quest. That man is Special Agent Kaname Date.

Professor Layton and the New World of Steam is coming to Switch 2 in 2025, in addition to the previously announced Switch version, Level-5 has announced.  Witchbrook (previously covered in more detail) will also be coming to Switch 2 this winter, Chucklefish has announced. Raidou Remastered: The Mystery of the Soulless Army, which was previously in the news, will also be coming to Switch 2, Atlus has announced. Ys X: Proud Nordics, a significantly enhanced version of Ys X: Nordics, will be released in Japan this winter for the Switch 2, Falcom announced. IO Interactive’s Project 007 will also be available for Switch 2 at launch. Bandai Namco’s Shadow Labyrinth is also coming to the new platform.

Goodnight Universe, from the creators of Before Your Eyes, will launch on Switch 2 alongside the previously announced PC version (Steam) in 2025, publisher Skybound Games and developer Nice Dream have announced. You are Isaac, a six-month-old baby who is developing mysterious psychic powers. All you want is to be loved and accepted by your family, but a secretive tech company wants you for their own. The game features an immersive “face tracking” mode, extending the innovative use of camera-based technology for which the development team is known. Become a baby in a hilarious yet heartbreaking first-person adventure. Master your newfound psychic powers to help out around the house and take down an evil tech corporation. Interact with an adorable cast of fully voiced characters to branch out the story and mend a fractured family.

Supergiant Games will release the divine roguelike dungeon crawler sequel Hades II for Switch and Switch 2 when the game exits Early Access, the developer announced. Hades II first launched in Early Access for PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store on May 6, 2024. A release date for version 1.0 has yet to be confirmed, but Supergiant Games said there is at least one more major update coming, so version 1.0 will arrive some time after that. Inspired by the classic handheld title, Story of Seasons: Grand Bazaar builds on and improves the original in every way imaginable. The world is bigger and more vibrant than ever, thanks to incredible new visuals, new characters, an expanded story, and full character voice acting in story events – a first for the series. Take advantage of Zephyr Town’s unique weather by harnessing the wind to make traveling and farming a breeze! Zephyr Town’s bazaar was once one of the largest in the world, drawing customers and merchants from all four corners of the globe. These days, however, the bazaar has more tumbleweeds than customers. It’s up to you to turn its fortunes around! Raise animals, harvest crops, craft rare delicacies, and then sell your wares at your very own Bazaar stall. As your bazaar business grows, new goods and services will be available for you to use to improve your farm. Help bring prosperity back to the Bazaar, and Zephyr Town will thrive once again!

Publisher Activision and developer Iron Galaxy will release a Switch 2 version of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 + 4 this summer, the companies announced today. Tony Hawk and the gang make their way to Switch 2 in this legendary remake, built from the ground up with incredible attention to detail and featuring iconic legends alongside new skaters, gnarlier tricks, an even sicker soundtrack and, for the first time in a decade, new parks! Plus, get ready to see the latest addition to the pro skater line-up in action – Nora Vasconcellos! One of the most influential skateboarders of her generation, Nora joins the legendary roster in Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 + 4, bringing her signature style to the game for the first time. The game also features Bikini Bottom.

Human Fall Flat 2, Reanimal, Project 007 have no release date announced. Tamagotchi Plaza is coming to Switch 2 and Switch on June 27th. No Sleep For Kaname Date – From AI: The Somnium Files is coming to Switch 2, Switch and PC on July 25. Raidou Remastered: The Mystery of the Soulless Army is coming to all consoles (both PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo) and PC on June 19th. Shadow Labyrinth will be released on July 18 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, PC 5. Professor Layton and the New World of Steam is coming later this year for Switch 2 and Switch. Witchbrook is coming this winter for Nintendo Switch 2, Xbox Series, PC, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox Game Pass. A western release for YS X: Proud Nordics Switch 2 has not yet been announced. Goodnight Universe is coming to Switch 2, PC, and Switch this year. Story of Seasons: Grand Bazaar is coming to Switch 2, PC and Switch on August 27th. Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 + 4 is coming to Switch 2 this summer. The Switch 2 and Switch port of Hades II does not have a release date.
