Wolverine’s Silence Frustrates Fans – But Insomniac Won’t Rush Just to Please You

According to Insomniac Games, when it comes to Marvel’s Wolverine, “things take time, resources, and approval to share.” Their stance? “That will always be our answer.” As players grow restless over the lack of updates, the developers stand their ground.

Insomniac Games has cemented its status as a powerhouse in the industry. From redefining beloved franchises like Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 and Ratchet & Clank to consistently delivering technical excellence, the studio has proven time and again it belongs among the elite. Their upcoming project, Marvel’s Wolverine, is being handled with utmost care — and they’re taking no chances when it comes to quality.

The last time we heard anything official about the game was back in 2021, during the first PlayStation Showcase, where a brief teaser was shown — packed with cryptic nods to the comics. Since then, aside from leaks tied to Insomniac, no new information has been released. This ongoing silence has triggered impatience across social media, with some fans even directing criticism at the studio.

Yes, It’s Still in Development — Just Quietly

But make no mistake: the California-based developer isn’t on vacation. They’ve responded directly to the growing backlash. And while silence may frustrate some, it usually means the dev team is heads-down and working hard. “We are actively developing Marvel’s Wolverine for PS5. We’ll share updates when the time is right. That will always be our answer,” the studio posted on X/Twitter in reply to a disgruntled player.

That player had written: “No PS5 news. No Wolverine updates. They’re ignoring everyone. What a team.” Insomniac’s reply was blunt: “We can’t respond to every demand, especially when updates require time, resources, and greenlights.” The game likely won’t be ready before 2025, but at least we know Insomniac is fully focused — especially now that they’ve confirmed Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 won’t be receiving any story DLC or extra content.
