This MCU Star Is Back—And What He Said About Avengers: Doomsday Will Blow Your Mind

MOVIE NEWS – After years of silence, a major Marvel actor is finally breaking his silence and confirming his return in Avengers: Doomsday. While Marvel keeps the plot under wraps, the star has dropped jaw-dropping details about what’s coming, and even he was surprised by the film’s gigantic ensemble cast.

Fans have speculated for years whether the character would return after his 2021 solo debut. Now it’s confirmed: he’s back, and apparently it’s been in the works for quite some time. During an appearance on The Jennifer Hudson Show, the actor revealed that he saw his name on a chair during Marvel’s five-hour-long casting announcement video—and from there, things got wild.

“We are so excited to get back to work,” he said. But when pressed for more, he stayed tight-lipped: “It’s obviously going to be a massive, amazing movie filled with secrets I can’t talk about. What I can say is that I knew I’d be part of it, but I had no idea who else would be involved.”

Marvel’s secrecy apparently stems from a long-standing issue: actors leaking spoilers. “They don’t tell us anything anymore because Tom Holland and Mark Ruffalo ruined it for everyone,” he joked. As a result, even top-tier MCU actors are kept in the dark until the last minute.

He admitted to being stunned when he saw iconic actors like Ian McKellen and Patrick Stewart return. “Seeing Sir Ian and Sir Patrick included totally blew my mind. These are two of the greatest living actors.”

Will We Get ‘Shang-Chi 2’ After ‘Avengers: Doomsday’?

Many fans felt Marvel had completely abandoned the character, given how long he was absent from any storyline or mention. Thankfully, this movie confirms his presence in the franchise’s future—but what about a sequel to his original film?

His role in Avengers: Doomsday might just be the spark needed to reignite demand for a second installment. If he survives the events of the upcoming crossover (some fans suspect Doctor Doom will wipe out half the cast), there’s still plenty of mythology and character depth left to explore. The film is slated for release on May 2, 2026, and production has already begun.
