Space Marine 2 is taking a massive leap forward with the release of its official modding editor. Saber Interactive has rolled out the Integration Studio – the very same internal development tool – giving players the power to shape the game’s future.

The core gameplay of Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 has already earned a devoted fanbase, but Saber Interactive is now raising the stakes. Aware of the community’s creativity and hunger for content, the studio is handing over the reins with the public release of the Integration Studio, an official toolkit that allows modders to build everything from new levels and game modes to custom UI and mechanics.

This initiative is meant to extend the game’s lifespan indefinitely by empowering fans to become co-creators. Whether it’s a fresh single-player scenario or a wildly imaginative minigame, the possibilities are now as vast as the Warhammer universe itself.

The Modding Era Begins

Dmitry Grigorenko, game director at Saber Interactive, made the announcement via the official Space Marine 2 Modding Hub Discord: “Today, we’re launching the official Integration Studio for public use. This is the same editor we use internally for all gameplay development.”

He continued, “Integration Studio makes editing anything SSL-related ten times faster, more secure, and more intuitive.”

Grigorenko emphasized the studio’s ongoing commitment to community creativity: “Not long ago, I promised we would support the modding scene – and I meant it. Watching this community grow, innovate, and produce incredible experiences has been both humbling and thrilling. We can’t wait to see what you’ll create next – from cinematic campaigns to off-the-wall game modes and everything in between.”

To show what’s possible, Grigorenko even teased a prototype of a new minigame titled “Fishing with Papa Calgar.” He added, “Yes, that’s now technically possible with these tools.”

Space Marine 3 Is Officially in the Works

While fans dive into modding mayhem, Saber Interactive is already setting its sights on the future. The studio has confirmed development on Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 3, thrilling longtime players eager for more action-packed carnage in the grimdark universe.

Although it will be a while before we hear more details, the mere confirmation of a third installment is enough to fuel excitement. The Space Marines are far from finished, and this saga is clearly just getting started.
