Shortly before its release, Shift Up’s game received its trial version, which you can find on Steam.

The PC demo of Stellar Blade allows you to try out the first segment of the game before its release in early June. A South Korean publication, Yonhap, first reported this, saying that the Shift Up demo would be released on May 31. It will provide players with about an hour of content to learn about the game’s mechanics. Shift Up then confirmed this on Twitter, revealing that there is no region lock. The studio also hinted that the full game could follow a similar path.

“The demo for Stellar Blade is now available! You can play through the beginning of the first stage, including the first boss battle. Your save data will carry over to the full game. After clearing the main demo, an additional mode will unlock, letting you take on a mid-boss encounter. Try on different outfits and hone your battle skills! The demo is free to download in nearly 250 regions worldwide. We’re working hard to bring you even more exciting news,” wrote Shift Up.

Denuvo is certainly in the demo. Stellar Blade was released for the PlayStation 5 last spring, and a PC port was confirmed in November. After a few months, the release date on Steam was confirmed. As we’ve written about before, the PC port will include all the additional content released for the PlayStation 5, as well as extras that will be released for the PlayStation 5 in the form of an upcoming update.

Stellar Blade will be priced at €70 for the base game and €90 for the Complete Edition. The question remains whether the region-locking issue will be resolved before the June 12 release date.
