IO Interactive Joins the Summer Game Fest Frenzy with Its Very First IOI Showcase!

Some of the most renowned creators in action and stealth gaming are jumping into the summer event frenzy, headlined by a dedicated Hitman conference and more. IO Interactive is hosting its first-ever IOI Showcase, promising news on Hitman, 007 First Light, and MindsEye.

IO Interactive has long been known for the iconic Hitman franchise, but the studio has been quietly working on several other exciting projects beyond Agent 47’s adventures. Fans are eagerly awaiting the arrival of MindsEye – the new action title from Build a Rocket Boy, helmed by the mind behind GTA – and, of course, more updates on the next James Bond game. Now, in an unexpected but welcome surprise, IO Interactive has announced that it’s joining the summer events lineup with a dedicated conference that’s all about its games.

Just moments ago, IO Interactive shared this news in a short but thrilling message on X: “Join us for the very first IOI Showcase on June 6 at 6:00 PM PDT [ June 7 at 3:00 AM CEST ]. Make sure to set your reminders and don’t miss out on exclusive updates and news directly from our team!” the announcement read.

Based on the promotional image for the event, it looks like IOI Showcase will revolve around three main games: Hitman: World of Assassination, the newly named James Bond game 007 First Light, and the mysterious MindsEye. In other words, fans can look forward to a show full of action, stealth, and loads of fresh trailers to keep everyone buzzing.

All Eyes on 007 First Light

IO Interactive also finally put to rest the big question surrounding its James Bond project. Earlier today, the studio confirmed that the title is officially 007 First Light, and more details will be revealed throughout the week. While many expected this announcement to be made during the Summer Game Fest, IO Interactive has chosen to host its own IOI Showcase event. So there’s even more to get hyped about in the days ahead.
