PlayStation Plus Essential: The July 2025 Line-Up

As the end of June approaches, Sony has once again revealed the games that will be available to all PlayStation Plus subscribers next month—regardless of their subscription tier.

This year marks a special anniversary: on June 29, 2010, Sony Computer Entertainment (now Sony Interactive Entertainment) launched PlayStation Plus, which initially had just one tier. Since then, two console generations have come and gone, subscription prices have increased, and while Sony usually announces the monthly games around 5:30 p.m., this time they revealed them a bit earlier. Last month it was the State of Play that caused a shuffle—this time it’s just inconsistency again.

So, what’s in store for July? The headline game is undoubtedly Diablo IV (PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4), which will be accessible to all three tiers: Essential, Extra, and Premium. (Wasn’t it already available through PS Plus Extra or Premium? Whatever.)

The second title is a bit more niche: The King of Fighters XV (PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4), a fighting game that may not appeal to everyone, but will definitely please fans of the genre. The third game, the month’s indie pick, is Jusant, which will only be available on PlayStation 5. All three titles will be downloadable from July 1 to August 4.

What else is Sony offering for PlayStation Plus’ 15th anniversary?

  • PlayStation Plus Premium members will get access to game trials for WWE 2K25 and Monster Hunter Wilds starting June 30.
  • Between June 27 and 29, the PlayStation Store will offer exclusive discounts for Plus members on several titles, including Sniper Elite: Resistance, Sid Meier’s Civilization VII, and Star Wars Outlaws.
  • All subscribers can claim a free Valorant content pack.
  • Starting June 28, PlayStation Plus will launch a new tournament series featuring games like EA Sports FC, NBA 2K, UFC, Madden NFL, College Football, and Tekken 8.
  • Until August 12, Premium subscribers can enjoy a 15% discount on movies in the Sony Pictures Core catalog.
  • A free multiplayer weekend will take place on June 28–29, allowing online play without a subscription.

There’s still time to grab the June games before they disappear on Monday: NBA 2K25 (PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4), Alone in the Dark (PlayStation 5), Bomb Rush Cyberfunk (PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4), and Destiny 2: The Final Shape (PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4).

Still, she likes puzzle and story-oriented games, like Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, which is her favourite title. She also played The Sims 3, but after accidentally killing a whole sim family, swore not to play it again. (For our office address, email and phone number check out our IMPRESSUM)
