MOVIE NEWS – Five Nights at Freddy’s was Blumhouse’s biggest hit, grossing $297.1 million on a $20 million budget. According to Deadline Hollywood, the studio’s net profit was $161 million.
The first reactions to the sequel are very promising. Only test audiences have seen Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 so far, but The Hollywood Reporter says viewers went wild with enthusiasm. Of course, early test screenings don’t guarantee the film will be a hit with the wider audience, but the creators are optimistic. Industry sources say Blumhouse and Universal Pictures are already discussing a third installment, though nothing is certain until the sequel’s box office results are in.
