If a player can prove that they have the original version and not an illegal copy of the game, Nintendo will lift the ban on the Nintendo Switch 2. However, a Switch 2 using an illegally copied version of the game will remain banned.

This situation will likely frustrate and worry many gamers who are unaware of this anti-piracy system on their Switch 2.
