Sony has unveiled several new downloads on the PlayStation Store that you can access without a PlayStation Plus subscription. With the rising costs of games, hardware, and subscriptions, demos are having a comeback, and now there are six new ones to try—no strings attached. It’s never been more important to sample a game before buying, and Sony’s latest offer makes that easy.
The rising cost of games is a major concern for many of us. In recent months, hardware, subscriptions, and software have all seen significant price increases. The latest games now cost as much as $80, and Microsoft has increased the price of the Xbox Series despite the fact that the console generation launched almost five years ago. Given all this, many of us are much more selective about which games we buy. Today’s pricing doesn’t allow us to be as spontaneous with our purchases as we once were. This is why demos have regained popularity in recent years.
Here are six new demos on the PlayStation Store. First is HunterxHunter NenxImpact from Arc System Works, the franchise’s first full-fledged fighting game featuring 3v3 team battles in a 2.5D world. The demo includes access to Free Battle and Training modes, as well as the Story mode tutorial. However, your save is not transferable to the full game. There’s also Velocity Riders from Yash Future Tech Solutions. This 3D cycling adventure game features ultra-realistic environments. In the demo, you can try two different stages on a single bike.
Onskull Development has made a demo available for Alchemist: Journey of the Soul, a first-person adventure game. In the game, you must brew potions to unlock your memories and successfully traverse a mysterious world. Here is the demo of Lost Twins 2 from Playdew. In this puzzle game, twins Abi and Ben get lost. Players must shift whole world pieces to guide the twins through a beautifully hand-crafted puzzle adventure. Day of the Shell has received a demo courtesy of Entalto Games. It’s aimed at roguelite fans, and each round can be played with the touch of a button. Finally, Snakes and Ladders: Championship is also from Yash Future Tech Solutions. This 3D version of the classic board game pits you against one to three characters controlled by artificial intelligence.
All demos are currently available on the PlayStation Store.
