GTA 6’s Launch Could Break Every Record – Here’s How Much Money Rockstar Might Rake In!

Market analysts have just made an outrageous prediction for Rockstar’s much-anticipated blockbuster: Grand Theft Auto 6 could rake in $7.6 billion in just two months. For any other game, that number would sound absurd, but with GTA’s record-breaking legacy, this projection might actually be on the money.

The Grand Theft Auto franchise has been an industry juggernaut for decades, with GTA 5 still going strong at more than 215 million units sold. Since GTA 3, every new installment has smashed expectations—but with a full decade since GTA 5 first launched, fans are hungrier than ever for a new chapter.

All this momentum could push GTA 6 to dizzying new heights for Rockstar and Take-Two Interactive. Josh Chapman of Konvoy says their team expects GTA 6 to be the biggest launch in gaming history, pulling in $7.6 billion in its first 60 days. Chapman predicts a base price of $80, with additional premium editions also on offer. According to Konvoy, the game’s popularity and price point mean Take-Two could recoup its $2 billion investment in just one month.

Online Multiplayer Set to Supercharge GTA 6 Profits

While previous GTA titles were single-player hits, Konvoy believes the multiplayer component will be a major profit engine this time. The analysts predict that GTA 6 Online will offer huge lobbies—up to 200 players—and a higher risk/reward system that means more player clashes. It’s also expected that GTA 6’s online mode will lean heavily on user-generated content, keeping the player base hooked and enticing modders with real payouts.

Of course, these are only predictions—but there’s plenty of precedent to back them up. Each GTA launch has outdone the last, and hype for GTA 6 has reached new heights. The game’s YouTube trailers are already breaking view records, and while the $80 price tag might scare off a few, Rockstar’s reputation for massive content drops means most fans won’t hesitate to pay up.
