Asterix & Obelix: Mission Babylon – The Slapstick Action Begins Again! [VIDEO]

Microids brings back the classic humor, colorful visuals, and over-the-top beatdowns of the Gauls in a brand-new co-op platformer that launches sooner than expected.

Microids has unveiled a new adventure platformer starring Asterix and Obelix. The iconic mustachioed duo are leaving peaceful Armorica behind once more, ready to send Romans flying all the way to Babylon. Their latest mission takes them to the edge of the Parthian Empire, into a legendary kingdom threatened by Caesar’s ruthless ambitions.

Their task: rescue King Monipehni, who has fallen victim to a deadly poison crafted by the evil sorcerer Bahmbuhzeli. To succeed, Asterix and Obelix must cross mysterious lands, collect ingredients for the antidote… and give a proper beating to every overconfident Roman they encounter.

Co-op Gameplay and Epic Bosses

Asterix & Obelix: Mission Babylon emphasizes couch co-op, allowing players to team up and combine their unique abilities. Whether playing solo or with a friend, you’ll enjoy smashing legionnaires, dodging traps, and exploring rich and diverse environments. The game features four entirely new worlds, each designed specifically for this title, with its own visual flair, mechanics, and challenges. From sun-scorched deserts to the mysterious alleyways of Babylon, the environments are packed with exotic elements and comic book references.

Humor, Brawling, and Secrets

Expect fast-paced combat, massive boss fights, replayable levels, and hidden secrets throughout the adventure. The irreverent humor stays true to Asterix’s spirit, delivering both laughs and satisfying action. With over twenty replayable stages, tricky enemies, and plenty of visual gags, the experience is set to be both explosive and hilarious.

Asterix & Obelix: Mission Babylon launches October 20 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PC, and Nintendo Switch.
