In just two weeks, the game has achieved outstanding results, proving that tactical shooters are in demand not only on PC but also on PlayStation and Xbox.
Void Interactive’s Ready or Not launched just over two weeks ago on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series consoles. In just four days, the console version sold 1 million copies, and with PC sales included, total units sold reached 10 million. Eleven days later, console sales doubled to 2 million, bringing the overall total to 11 million copies sold.
“First, thank you to the players — for showing up, playing hard, and bringing order to chaos. Next, thank you to the Void dev team for building what we believe is the quintessential tactical FPS of our era, and thank you to our friends and partners for helping us bring Ready or Not to consoles,” wrote CEO Julio Rodriguez on LinkedIn when announcing the milestone.
The console release has been a clear success, but it hasn’t eased PC players’ frustration. The console update brought changes that many players have described as censorship or graphical downgrades meant to match the console experience. Steam reviews reflect that a large number of players share this dissatisfaction.
Still, Ready or Not continues to perform strongly, and the only question now is whether it will hit 3 million console units sold by September.
