The 2025 Esports World Cup kicked off on July 7. Featuring 24 games across 25 competitions, the event brought together 2,000 elite players and 200 esports clubs from over 100 countries, battling for the largest prize pool in esports history, exceeding USD 70 million.
PUBG Grand Final
The mobile segment of the 2025 Esports World Cup took place at the impressive Qiddiya Esports Arena west of Riyadh, where competitors played exclusively on HONOR Magic7 Pro devices. Starting on August 1, the tournament welcomed 16 determined teams – eight from the group stages and eight from the Survival Stage. Across 18 intense matches, the action never let up. Yangon Galacticos established a solid lead, finishing the final day with 128 points. By the 18th match, only two other teams – Weibo Gaming and Alpha Gaming – matched that level, meaning Yangon Galacticos simply had to outperform the remaining 13 squads to secure overall victory. They fought fiercely, winning four WWCDs during the finals – twice as many as second-place Weibo Gaming.
HONOR’s support extended beyond PUBG: Mobile, also backing top performers in Honor of Kings, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, and Free Fire. These competitions attract the world’s top talent and boast massive player bases, drawing attention from the most prominent and successful esports clubs. Players in these tournaments compete for over USD 10 million in prizes, all using HONOR devices.
